We're a UK digital agency that's spent the last decade doing one thing: building digital work that makes a measurable difference to the businesses that commission it. No outsourcing, no account-manager smoke screen — the people you talk to are the people doing the work.

Our Story

Ten Years of Shipping, Learning and Staying Curious

Red Frog Studio started the way a lot of good agencies do: a developer and a designer who kept being asked to rescue projects that bigger agencies had overcomplicated and underdelivered.

The early work was websites — fixing them, then replacing them, then building them properly from scratch. E-commerce followed naturally, because clients who sell things online have refreshingly measurable definitions of success. Marketing came next, for the same reason: building a fast site and then watching nobody visit it felt like leaving the job half-done.

The AI chapter began earlier than the hype did. We'd been automating client workflows for years — quietly, with scripts and integrations — when large language models suddenly made a whole new class of automation possible. We were already in the habit of asking 'what eats this team's hours?', so we had a head start on putting the new tools to genuinely useful work.

Today we're a deliberately compact team of designers, developers and strategists. Compact is a choice: it keeps the people who win the work doing the work, and it means nothing gets lost between departments — because there aren't any.

Your code, your content, your data, your accounts — yours, from day one, documented well enough that any competent team could take over tomorrow. We think lock-in is a confession that the work can't stand on its own merits.

Plain English, Always

If we can't explain a recommendation without jargon, we don't understand it well enough to charge you for it. Reports, proposals and meetings here are conducted in the language you run your business in.

Why the Frog?

About the Name

Clients ask, so: red frogs are small, conspicuous and very hard to ignore — which felt about right for the work we want to make. The poison dart frog's colour is also a promise of potency in a small package. We liked the metaphor, and ten years on, the little red face still makes people smile in meetings.

It also makes us extremely easy to remember, which — as we tell our branding clients — is most of the battle.
